‘Teaching about the Holocaust in Greece’ in Athens
The tenth educational seminar run by the Jewish Museum of Greece and entitled ‘Teaching about the Holocaust in Greece’ was held at the JMG on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 February 2013. The seminar was for primary and secondary school teachers and was conducted under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Religion, Culture and Sport, and supported by the General Secretariat for Youth.
The proceedings began with addresses by the President of the Jewish Community of Athens Mr. B Albalas and Mrs Lila de Chaves, Member of Board of the JMG. There were ten speakers specialising in a variety of subject areas and a total of 106 teachers took part in the seminar.
